Johannesburg Suburb and City Tour

This suburb tour shows you Johannesburg like you never seen it before. The Zoo Lake is a great place to take a stroll around the lake, have a picnic or even feed the ducks. On a beautiful day, you can hire a paddle boat and paddle around the lake. Next stop on this tour is the amazing Johannesburg Zoo where you could see the big 5: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. In addition, the Zoo houses spider monkeys and pumas. The last stop on this tour is Ditsong National Museum of Military History where you will find displays of the South African War. Here you will find antiques such as aircraft, armor, naval and engineering equipment - some of the rarest military equipment in the world.

What better way to discover Johannesburg in an informative, sage and convenient fun way. Johannesburg city tour shows you the city and so much more places that you’ve never seen before and takes you to all Jozi hottest weekend spots. The city tour starts at Constitution Hill where you can visually understand life in a cell. This is where Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela were once imprisoned. The next stop is a self- walk through open-air mining district museums which illustrates the history and legacy of mining in South Africa. The Carlton Centre is the tallest building in Africa which is home to 50 stories where you can see the best views of Johannesburg. Next, The James Hall Museum of Transport houses the world largest transport museum from animal-drawn vehicles to fire engines, cars, steam driven vehicles and lastly trams and trolley buses. This is a must-see. We also spent so much time at Gold Reef City Casino where we encountered thrilling theme park rides which were wild and exciting. The Apartheid Museum allows one to see displays, film footage and historic photos portraying Apartheid in South Africa and the role of democracy. We also stopped at SAB World of Beer, the place to be for all beer lovers. Here is where you can go on a beer tour or tasting through the Breweries. Next up was the Origins center at Wits: the one place where you can explore the history of humankind, learn about the culture, language of San people. We were exposed to various collections of fossil, stone age tools, and various rock art collections. The Grove Braamfontein has got the vibe that captures the essence of Jhb with crafts, foods drinks and much more.
